The information below gives quantities for the recommended dose of three FloraClear capsules per day.
| Active ingredient | Amount per 3 capsules |
|---|---|
| L-glutamine | 500 mg |
| N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) | 450 mg |
| Magnesium citrate | 300 mg |
| Bromelain | 250 mg |
| Caprylic acid | 150 mg |
| Indian barberry extract | 103.1 mg |
| Lactoferrin | 50 mg |
| Oregano oil powder | 50 mg |
| Ginger root extract | 50 mg |
Additional composition information: magnesium citrate includes 36 mg of magnesium, representing 10% of Nutrient Reference Value. The activity rate of bromelain is 300 GDU. Ginger root extract is standardized to 2.5 mg of gingerols.
How the three phases are structured
Phase 1: Biofilm-related research
N-acetyl cysteine, lactoferrin and bromelain. These compounds have been studied in laboratories for interactions with biofilm structures. The effect on human gut biofilms has not been demonstrated in a scientific paper.
Stage 2: Microbial balance
Berberine, oregano oil and caprylic acid. These ingredients have been examined for effects on microorganisms. Laboratory findings do not mean the ingredients will have predictable effects as a dietary supplement, and the product is not a remedy for infections.
Step 3: Intestinal mucosa and digestion
L-glutamine, ginger and magnesium. L-glutamine is a source of energy for intestinal mucosa cells, magnesium supports healthy muscle function, and ginger has a long tradition of use in relation to digestive health.
Ingredient notes
L-glutamine — 500 mg
An amino acid that serves as an important energy source for intestinal cells. Its effects in healthy people have not been established by the research described in the source content.
N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) — 450 mg
NAC helps the body make glutathione. It has been studied in laboratories for possible interactions with bonds involved in biofilm formation, but human evidence is limited.
Magnesium citrate — 300 mg
The listed 300 mg of magnesium citrate provides 36 mg of elemental magnesium. Magnesium helps normal muscle and nerve function. Magnesium citrate may also have a laxative effect.
Bromelain — 250 mg
A collection of protein-digesting enzymes obtained from pineapple, with an activity rate of 300 GDU. Evidence that this dosage dissolves intestinal biofilms in humans is not available.
Caprylic acid — 150 mg
A fatty acid derived from sources such as coconut oil. Effects at this dose on microbial flora in humans remain uncertain.
Indian barberry extract — 103.1 mg
Derived from Indian barberry root (Berberis aristata). The formula provides 100 mg berberine hydrochloride. This does not establish FloraClear as effective for SIBO or any digestive condition.
Lactoferrin — 50 mg
An iron-containing protein present in milk and body fluids. Since lactoferrin is milk-derived, FloraClear is not suitable for individuals allergic to milk.
Oregano oil powder — 50 mg
Oregano oil contains compounds such as carvacrol and thymol that have been investigated for antimicrobial activity. Laboratory findings cannot confirm that the finished supplement eliminates microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract.
Ginger root extract — 50 mg
Standardized to 2.5 mg of gingerols. Ginger has traditionally been used as an aid to digestion; effects depend on the method and amount taken.
